Welcome to Mr Shark.
These Terms & Conditions apply when you request a quote, make a booking, use our website or engage Mr Shark to provide exterior cleaning services.
Please read these terms before confirming a service. By accepting a quote, confirming a booking or allowing Mr Shark to commence the agreed work, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to read and understand these Terms & Conditions.
1. About Mr Shark
Mr Shark provides professional exterior cleaning services for residential and commercial properties across Melbourne and other service areas accepted by us.
Our services may include:
The exact work to be completed will depend on the service requested and the quote or booking confirmed with Mr Shark.
2. Quotes
Quotes are prepared using the information available to us at the time.
We may consider factors such as:
A quote may need to be reviewed if the information provided by the customer is incomplete or inaccurate, or if the condition, size, accessibility or scope of the work is materially different from what was described or reasonably visible when the quote was prepared.
Where additional work is identified, we will discuss it with the customer before undertaking work outside the agreed scope.
3. Bookings
A booking is considered confirmed when Mr Shark accepts the requested service and communicates confirmation to the customer.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact, property and service information when making a booking.
Please tell us about any special access requirements, hazards, property restrictions or other relevant circumstances before the scheduled service.
4. Scheduled Arrival Times
Mr Shark aims to attend confirmed bookings at the agreed time or within any arrival window communicated to the customer.
Exterior cleaning can be affected by circumstances that are difficult to predict, including:
Where a significant delay or rescheduling is necessary, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer and arrange a suitable alternative.
5. Weather & Unsafe Conditions
Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent.
Mr Shark may delay, pause or reschedule a service where conditions such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, strong winds, extreme heat or other circumstances make the work unsafe or likely to materially affect the service.
Safety takes priority over completing a job at the originally scheduled time.
Where possible, we will arrange another suitable service time with the customer.
6. Customer Responsibilities Before Service
Customers are responsible for reasonably preparing the property before Mr Shark arrives.
Before work begins, customers should:
Customers should also follow reasonable safety and after-care instructions provided by Mr Shark.
7. Access to the Property
The customer must provide reasonable and safe access to the areas included in the booking.
If we cannot access an agreed area because of locked gates, vehicles, obstructions, unsafe conditions or another issue outside our reasonable control, we may be unable to complete that part of the service.
Where practical, we will discuss available options with the customer.
8. Water & Electricity
Some services may require reasonable access to a suitable water supply and/or electricity.
Where this is required, the customer should ensure that the agreed utilities are accessible, safe and operational at the scheduled service time.
Please advise us before the appointment if suitable water or electricity will not be available.
9. Electrical Hazards
Customers must tell Mr Shark about known electrical hazards in or around the cleaning area.
These may include:
Customers should not handle exposed or damaged electrical wiring themselves. Electrical work should be performed by an appropriately licensed electrician where required.
Mr Shark may stop or decline work in an area where an electrical hazard creates an unacceptable safety risk.
10. Existing Damage & Property Condition
Exterior cleaning may reveal existing defects or deterioration that were previously hidden by dirt, grime, mould or other contamination.
This may include:
Customers should tell Mr Shark about known damage or weaknesses before work begins.
Mr Shark will take reasonable care when performing the agreed service. However, pre-existing defects, deterioration or unsuitable surface conditions may affect how a surface responds to cleaning.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
11. Recently Painted, Sealed or Repaired Surfaces
Customers must advise Mr Shark if a surface has recently been:
Some coatings and repairs require an appropriate curing period before exterior cleaning can safely take place.
Mr Shark may recommend postponing or modifying the service where a surface is not suitable for the proposed cleaning method.
12. Cleaning Results
Mr Shark aims to provide professional cleaning results using methods reasonably appropriate for the surface and its condition.
However, exterior cleaning does not guarantee that every mark or stain will be completely removed.
Results can vary depending on:
Natural wear, permanent staining and existing deterioration may remain visible after cleaning.
13. Stains That May Not Be Fully Removed
Some permanent or deeply embedded marks may not be completely removable through normal exterior cleaning.
These can include:
Mr Shark will make reasonable efforts within the agreed service, but complete removal of every stain cannot be guaranteed.
14. Pressure Cleaning & Delicate Surfaces
Not every surface is suitable for high-pressure cleaning.
Older, fragile, damaged, decorative, heritage, recently installed or specially coated surfaces may require reduced pressure, soft washing, an alternative cleaning method or no cleaning at all.
Mr Shark may modify or decline a particular cleaning method where we reasonably consider it unsafe or unsuitable for the surface.
15. Plants, Grass & Landscaping
Exterior cleaning can involve water, runoff and cleaning products.
Customers should tell Mr Shark about delicate plants, lawns, vegetable gardens, flowers and sensitive landscaping before work begins.
Portable plants should be moved away from the work area where practical.
Mr Shark will take reasonable precautions when working around vegetation. However, customers should understand that sensitive plants and landscaping may react differently to water, runoff or cleaning solutions.
16. Pools, Spas, Ponds & Animals
Customers must tell Mr Shark about swimming pools, spas, fish ponds, bird enclosures, chicken coops, pet areas and other sensitive animal environments near the cleaning area.
Where reasonably necessary, these areas should be protected, covered or kept clear of the work zone before cleaning begins.
17. Children, Pets & Other People
Children, pets, visitors and other people must remain safely away from active cleaning areas and Mr Shark equipment.
Where cleaning products have been applied, customers should keep children and animals away from treated surfaces until the area is safe and dry and any applicable product safety or re-entry instructions have been followed.
18. Wet & Slippery Surfaces
Exterior cleaning can temporarily make driveways, paths, concrete, decks, stairs and other surfaces wet or slippery.
Customers and visitors should avoid freshly cleaned areas until they are reasonably safe to use.
19. Roof & Gutter Cleaning
Roof and gutter cleaning may cause leaves, dirt, water and other debris to fall into surrounding areas.
People, pets, vehicles and valuable items should remain clear of areas directly below roof and gutter work.
Mr Shark may decline to access or work on a roof where conditions are considered unsafe.
20. Cleaning Products
Mr Shark may use suitable cleaning products where reasonably required for the agreed service.
The type of product and cleaning method used may depend on the surface, contamination and service being performed.
Customers must not interfere with cleaning products or equipment and should follow any safety or after-care instructions provided by our team.
21. Equipment Safety
Customers, children, visitors and other people must not touch, move or interfere with Mr Shark equipment while work is being performed.
This may include:
Please speak with a Mr Shark team member if equipment is obstructing an area you need to access.
22. Pricing & Payment
The price payable will be the amount agreed in the accepted quote or booking, subject to any additional work subsequently approved by the customer.
Payment must be made using an accepted payment method and within any payment timeframe communicated on the quote, invoice or booking confirmation.
Customers should raise any questions about an invoice or charge with Mr Shark as soon as reasonably possible.
23. Additional Work
Work outside the original agreed scope may involve an additional charge.
Where reasonably practicable, Mr Shark will explain the additional work and obtain the customer’s approval before proceeding.
The customer is not required to accept optional additional services.
24. Cancellations & Rescheduling by Customers
We understand that plans can change.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact Mr Shark as early as reasonably possible.
Any cancellation or rescheduling fee will only apply where it has been clearly disclosed to the customer before the booking is confirmed and where it is lawful and reasonable in the circumstances.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or other rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
25. Cancellation or Refusal of Unsafe Work
Mr Shark may pause, postpone or decline work where there is a reasonable safety concern.
This may include:
Where possible, we will explain the issue and discuss whether the service can be safely rescheduled or modified.
26. Satisfaction Concerns
If you believe there is a problem with a service provided by Mr Shark, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Provide details of the concern and, where helpful, photographs of the affected area.
We will review the matter and, where appropriate, discuss reasonable steps to address the concern.
Any satisfaction promise or voluntary guarantee offered by Mr Shark operates in addition to, and does not replace, rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
27. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with rights and guarantees that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
These statutory rights cannot be excluded by these Terms & Conditions where the law does not permit their exclusion.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

General website information is not a substitute for a specific quote or assessment of an individual property.
29. Before & After Images

We will handle photographs containing personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Where permission is required for identifiable customer or property material to be used publicly for advertising, case studies or social media, we will seek appropriate consent.
